Shortcuts

It is truly amazing how we have become so used to taking shortcuts in almost every possible situation.  We even forget that, in doing so, we might be trespassing someone else's domain; and many times causing hardships for everyone including ourselves.
  • If the traffic in front of us slows down, we even jump to a lane meant for traffic going in the opposite direction - many times without examining the cause of the slow down.  This may result in traffic jams or even accidents.
  • At a railroad crossing, many of us conveniently go and stand on the opposite side hoping that we will be the first to go thru the tracks.  We all know what does it do when the gates open.
  • Do we let passengers get off the train/bus before boarding ourselves?
  • Do we wait for for our turn at a ticket counter; at bank's teller; at a shop ....?
  • Do we always park our vehicle correctly - making sure it is not obstructing traffic?
Why such disregard for courtesy and respect for others?  Why are we so impatient that we conveniently forget even common mannerisms?  Are we selfish?  Or, we simply do not care?

Just a little discipline - and, it goes a long way making it easier for everyone.  Badlo khud ko.  You will be pleased to see the results.
